The Department of Probability Theory, Statistics, and Actuarial Mathematics ranked among the top three natural science and mathematics departments at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv based on the results of the 2025 evaluation of research teams.
Based on the evaluation results, the department took third place, taking its position among the departments of the Faculty of Physics. This is a particularly significant achievement, as physics departments traditionally have a substantial number of applied research projects, patents, and developments — criteria that significantly influence the final score.
Despite the high level of competition, our department managed to demonstrate consistently strong research results, active participation in international projects, publication output, and more.
